Healthcare Projects Designer

Tom Stables is a designer and researcher. He has worked as a multidisciplinary designer since 2006 after graduating from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, working for clients such as LVMH, Paul Smith, Samsung, Coca-Cola, and Plumen. After graduating from the MA Design Products course at the Royal College of Art in 2010, Stables joined the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design as a Research Associate until 2013. He then continued to work in inclusive design and research, and his work has gradually moved more into healthcare settings focusing on usability and patient experience, working for a range of clients including healthcare providers and private hearing care manufacturers. Since January 2022, he returned to the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design to work on healthcare projects.

 

Stables's work has been exhibited in the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, as well as the Design Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
