Mathieu Bassee joined the Hermes Leather Goods team during his design studies. He notably contributed to the development of the brand's first iPhone case, along with several innovative designs for bags and luggage. As an independent designer, Bassée continued to focus on the intricacies of objects, and expanded his repertoire into scenography and artistic projects including Petit H, Cristallerie Saint-Louis, Issey Miyake, Pierre Hardy and Didier Faustino. Bassée became Artistic Director of Studio MTX in 2015, and Head of Development from 2017 onwards. His work, known for its geometric precision and innovative use of materials, has been integrated into interior architecture projects by leading agencies such as Jouin Manku, Yabu Pushelberg, AB Concept and many more.
