Simon Hsu worked at Pei Cobb Freed & Partners in New York for the first 12 years of his architecture career on numerous institutional and commercial projects such as MUDAM Luxembourg and the Headquarter of the Lombardy Regional Government in Milan. He then co-founded io Architects, which was responsible for the Miho Institute of Aesthetics, a high school campus outside of Kyoto and the collaboration with I.M. Pei on the school chapel. Upon Hsu’s return to Hong Kong in 2013, he worked at Aedas as well as Herzog & de Meuron, and has been an adjunct associate professor at Chinese University of Hong Kong since 2016.

 

Hsu received his master’s degree in architecture from Harvard University and his bachelor’s degree from Brown University. He is a LEED Accredited Professional, a member of the American Institute of Architects, and a registered Architect in New York.
